nose bleed

My friends horse banged his side about week and half ago but seems fine now but last few days he has had nose bleed and this morning has had another and wont eat brekky or come out of stable have phoned the vet as my friend is away and he says to keep an eye on him this morn and ring back this afternoon has anyone else had nose bleeds

Yeah, definately make the vet come out. If hes had a bang and a couple of nosebleeds he may need to be scoped to see whats going on. Good luck, hope hes ok.

Called vet she said she should have been called when he injured but as its not my horse not my place to do so but I had no hesitation when Im responsible. His temp very high and his heart is racing she says he has infection and need anti biotics and bute cos in pain I have now got these off her and hope he soon clears up its real hard when its not your horse and he is quite old.

Forest recently had a nosebleed.

I called the vet and they said to keep an eye on it throughout the day and they would come out if the nosebleed continued of returned again.

If the horse has had more then one nosebleed then tell the owner they need to call the vet immediatly to find out what is happening.
